Friday 4th November – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch at the Ferry– Sunny.

After a meddle with the times for the dentist my dodgy tooth remains, removal rescheduled for next Thursday, the good news is it does not hurt at the moment:) So I got home early, with Mag still up the town I chopped some kindling before packing a picnic including a yummy corn beef roll with homemade soup:) Then when Mag returned, we headed off on our bikes for the third Friday running in wall to wall sunshine but a cool breeze blowing from the North! Down through the woods at Abbey/Grove and out onto Gulpher Road but not down Marsh Lane today we took the road across the golf course to Felixstowe Ferry, the worst part of the trip into a head wind! I had a quick spin around the boat yard taking pics in ideal conditions, wall to wall sunshine with a lovely blue sky:) We were entertained briefly when a local fisherman emptied a box of fish bits at the end of the jetty and loads of gulls went crazy. It was a bit chilly to sit on the seat here so we continued past the Martello tower to our spot near the end of the River Deben which was sheltered from the breeze. We enjoyed a relaxing and very quiet lunch only disturbed by a passing paddle boarder, really beautiful it was too. Well rested and with a tail wind we whizz back to The Dip, then around to the prom at the Fludges which is fairly busy with people enjoying the nice weather. Mag head up Bent Hill as I continue onto the end of the prom and back through Langer Park for a well-deserved cake with a cuppa:)
